'Confession' Receives High Volume of Moviegoers Since Its Release
In a report released by the Korea Film Council (KOFIC) on October 31, "Confession" headline by So Ji Sub, Kim Yoo Jin, and Nana and directed by Yoon Jong Bin gathered more than 170,000 people for three days over the weekend and ranked first in the box office. Its share of sales was 26.9 percent and has a total of more than 250,000 moviegoers since it was released last October 26.
"Confession" centers its story around a suspect in a murder case and his lawyer who joins forces to uncover the truth behind the crime. So Ji Sub is Yoo Min Ho, president of a start-up IT company and is a prime suspect in a murder case. Kim Yoo Jin takes the role of Yang Shin Ae, a lawyer who searches for the truth to keep her title as a lawyer.
Meanwhile, the healing film "Remember" starring Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Min, which was released on the same date, accumulated more than 141,000 audiences and ranked second on the list. The cumulative number of audiences is 239,350.

"Remember" depicts the story of Pil Joo (Lee Sung Min), a man in his eighties, diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, who has lost his family members during the Japanese occupation of Korea and spends almost 60 years in search of a pro-Japanese group who killed his family to plot for revenge. In Gyu (Nam Joo Hyuk), a young man in his twenties works in a family restaurant and meets Pil Joo, and unexpectedly gets caught up in his revenge.
'Remember' & 'Confession' Halt Stage Greeting Events To Give Respect To Itaewon Stampede Victims
Though both movies are doing good at the box office, "Confession" and "Remember" special screenings in theaters have been canceled due to the Halloween incident that happened in Itaewon. The stage greetings of the two films were also postponed to participate in the national mourning.

Lotte Entertainment, the primary distributor of So Ji Sub's movie said that the postponement of the event is based on the national mourning for the victims of the Itaewon stampede. "Remember's" distributor Ace Maker Movie Works, also released the same statement concerning the cancellation of the stage greetings.
