Controversial actor Yoo Ah In reportedly skipped the private summon scheduled today, May 11.
According to a media outlet, the award winning star is set to have the second hearing for his illegal susbtance charges for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Unfortunately, he allegedly avoided the private summons because of the media.
Yoo Ah In Delays Second Private Sumon Hearing After Seeing Reporters
As mentioned by a media outlet, the "Hellbound" star arrived nearby at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Mapo Building ahead of the scheduled time for the investigation; however, he returned as soon as he reached the location.
One of the reasons why Yoo Ah In skipped the investigation was because there were "too many reporters" waiting for the actor, in hopes of getting an interview.
Due to this, authorities will reschedule the second private summons with the actor and his legal counsel.
To recall, the actor was swarmed with media following his first public appearance before the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Crime Investigation Unit due to the illegal drug charges against him.
At the time, he showed up wearing a black suit and bowed his head, expressing his sincere apology to the public.
This is not the first time that there has been a delay with the investigation.
Initially, the first private summons was set for March 24 but got delayed due to the actor's request, prompting the investigation to get postponed.
Police Speculates Yoo Ah In's Use of Zolpidem
As Yoo Ah In's investigation continues, it's unknown whether the prolific star might be able to make his on-screen return.
It was after the "Chicago Typewriter" star was charged with illegal substance abuse after testing positive for four types of drugs: propofol, hemp, cocaine and ketamine.

According to a medical outlet, it also served as a "short-term treatment of insomnia" for patients with difficulty starting to sleep.
The benefits of it include improving measures of sleep latency and sleep duration as well as reducing the number of awakenings in patients with insomnia.
As for the side effects of zolpidem, one may experience headaches, dizziness, a bitter or metallic taste, diarrhea, memory loss, hallucinations, depression, and more.
Moreover, the investigation also revealed that the actor has been using propofol multiple times since 2021.
Due to this, the hospital and doctor administering the drug were also investigated.
