Newbie model and actor Kang Tae Joo officially joins Lee Min Ho's "Pachinko 2."
Following the anticipation of the viewers for the Apple TV series' second season, it was announced that the 28-year-old actor would be part of the hit series.
He made his debut in the 2020 K-drama "Missing: The Other Side," followed by the miniseries "Nara's Marvelous Days" with Lee Ka Un, Shin Bo Ra, and more.
Kang Tae Joo Wraps Up Filming Scenes for 'Pachinko 2'
According to a media outlet, Kang Tae Joo will appear in "Pachinko 2," joining top stars like Lee Min Ho and Youn Yuh Jung.
As for his role, officials and the streaming platform are tight-lipped about his new character; however, the production for the second installment was completed.
To recall, Apple TV+ previously announced that the novel-based series would continue for a second season.
At the time, showrunner Soo Hugh, expressed her excitement to be able to "continue telling the extraordinary story of this indomitable family,"
Moreover, she hints that viewers might get to see familiar faces.
"It's an honor to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew," she said in an interview.
With "Pachinko" season 2 having a mix of returning and new cast members, one outlet, cited that the cast members joining the upcoming sequel are Kim Min Ha, Lee Min Ho, Youn Yuh Jung, Soji Arai, Jin Ha, Han Jun Woo, Jung Eun Chae, Felice Choi, Anna Sawai, and Noh Sang Hyun.

While fans tuned in for the possible premiere, Apple TV+ has not confirmed the Pachinko season 2 release date, especially since the series' showrunner, Soo Hugh, is working on with another TV show.
As for Kang Tae Joo, "Pachinko 2" will be his next project after his debut movie, "The Childe."

Viewers are looking forward to Kim Seon Ho's debut movie, "The Childe," transforming into a different character.
Interestingly, lead stars include a roster of talented stars like rookie actors Kang Tae Joo, Kim Kang Woo, and Go Ah Ra.
Helmed by "Night in Paradise," "New World," and "The Witch" series Director Park Hoon Jung, the upcoming movie depicts the story of an amateur boxer named Marco, played by Kang Tae Joo, who has a mixed Filipino and Korean descent.
From the Philippines, he traveled all the way to South Korea to find his estranged father.
Unfortunately, he gets caught up in a tricky situation after being chased by a dangerous organization, led by the gang boss called the Nobleman, played by Kim Seon Ho.
Set to be released on June 21 in theaters, fans are thrilled to see the on-screen chemistry of the cast and Kim Seon Ho on his debut film.
