Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young Disappointed for Not Having Enough Romantic Scenes in ‘Concrete Utopia’

Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young talk about their characters in the upcoming movie "Concrete Utopia."

Along with fellow lead star Lee Byung Hun, the duo graced the press conference ahead of the film's official release.

During the interview, they spoke about their working relationship and their experience filming the movie.

Besides being in one project, viewers are excited to see Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young play as a married couple.

Besides the unexpected twists and turns of the story, Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young hint at their on-screen chemistry.

Playing the husband role, the actor said that he "tried to look at the couple from a third-person perspective, but it made me feel sad to see the two characters in that situation."

However, he expressed how he wants to highlight more romantic scenes between him and Park Bo Young.

"I can't help but wonder how the movie would have been if it had captured more romantic moments between them," he furthered, as mentioned by a media outlet.

Interestingly, the actress expressed the same stance, saying, "It's such a pity that there weren't a lot of lovey-dovey scenes."

Despite this, she is "satisfied" with how the story went because she and Park Seo Joon have "shown the side of a realistic couple."

In addition, Park Bo Young wished to reunite with him in an upcoming project, hopefully a romantic one, which Park Seo Joon seconded.

'Concrete Utopia' Instagram Created for Park Seo Joon's Character

Talking about being a "realistic couple," director Uhm Tae Hwa revealed that they made an Instagram account for Min Sung.

With over 78,600 followers, the account showcased Min Sung's visual diary with Myung Hwa.

As mentioned by the director during the press conference, they featured the couple's story before the tragedy happened.

"If you take a look at the account, you can see how lovey-dovey the married couple had been before the disaster occurred," he said, adding "I think it will help you understand better how the story goes."

"Concrete Utopia" will officially hit the big screen on August 9 and will also premiere in 152 countries, including Japan,Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and more.
