The upcoming K-drama "Jeong Nyeon" unveiled its star-studded cast lineup and updated on the broadcast network and target release date.
Teasing fans with details regarding the project, a report finally revealed the list of stars who will play as the drama's main characters.
'Jeong Nyeon' Cast: Meet the Stars Who Will Headline the K-Drama
Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Jeong Nyeon" is considered feminist literature that sparked public interest regarding Yeoseong Gukgeuk, or a theatrical performance that combines singing and dancing.
In the upcoming K-drama, Kim Tae Ri plays as one of the main characters, taking the titular role of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, who is a talented pansori singer. She strives hard to chase her dreams despite experiencing financial struggles.

Kim Tae Ri is known for delivering amazing performances in her previous K-dramas, such as the award-winning "Mr. Sunshine," as well as "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" and her latest, "Revenant."
Joining the actress is Shin Ye Eun, who will take on the pansori entertainer named Heo Yeong Seo. Like Jeong Nyeon, she is also famous for her impeccable singing and dancing.
Interestingly, "Jeong Nyeon" also features award-winning stars like Moon So Ri and Ra Mi Ran.
After her remarkable portrayal in Netflix's "QueenMaker," Moon So Ri plays as a doting mother named Seo Yong Rye, who single-handedly raised her child. She also hides her past as a virtuoso pansori vocalist for various reasons.
As mentioned, Ran Mi Ran joins as one of the lead stars, playing the theater company head, Kang So Bok, who has a bossy personality.
The Baeksang Arts Awards winner is best known for her characters in "Reply 1988" as Ryu Jun Yeol's mother and Lee Do Hyun's mom in "The Good Bad Mother."
'Jeong Nyeon' Release Date
Other than the official cast lineup, officials also revealed that "Jeong Nyeon" will air via TVN and be helmed by Jung Ji-In of "Shining Romance" and the hit K-drama "The Red Sleeve."
The upcoming K-drama is set to begin production in 2024.
