Best known for his role as prison cell leader So Yang Ho in the iconic Korean movie "Miracle in Cell No. 7, Oh Dal Su made a name for himself by portraying various roles in films and series.

For his K-drama comeback, he officially joins "Squid Game" Season 2 cast. He will be working alongside new and original cast members like Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, and more.

Following this, Oh Dal Su's agency, C-JeS Studio, also confirmed the news.

Oh Dal Su Controversy

With the update regarding Oh Dal Su's new K-drama, the actor's past controversy resurfaced.

In 2018, the actor made headlines after stage actress Uhm Ji Young and others accused the "Along With the Gods" actor of sexual harassment. At the time, the actress appeared in JTBC's "Newsroom" and recalled the sexual harassment she experienced with Oh Dal Su at a theater in Busan during the 1990s.

Initially, the actor denied it, saying that he "did not do such acts" and "the claims in the anonymous posts are not true." However, due to the continued revelations, Oh Dal Su released a public apology and admitted the allegations against him.

Besides his public apology, the actor also withdrew from his appearance in the TV series "My Mister." It took him years to return to the industry after living a quiet life on Geoje Island, and he has focused on farming.

He then returned after two years since the controversy and became part of the comedy movie "Best Friend" with Jung Woo, Kim Hee Won, Kim Byung Chul, and more.

During the press conference for his big-screen comeback, the actor expressed his gratitude to the people who were part of the movie and was "relieved" that the film was scheduled to be released despite the controversy.

Moreover, he also recalled his experience living on hiatus.

"Like Lee in the movie, I have learned the importance of family. I have been farming on Geojedo, and my family was there with me the whole time to prevent me from thinking too much about the scandal."

From then on, he continued appearing in various films and movies.

Other than "Squid Game" Season 2, Oh Dal Su is set to become part of "Veteran 2" and "4PM."
