Song Joong Ki's 'My Name is Loh Kiwan' Tops Netflix Global Ranking in 30 Countries
Song Joong Ki and Choi Sung Eun's first movie team-up "My Name is Loh Kiwan" made a significant move as it rose to the top of Netflix's global rankings.
The famous online streaming platform gathered data showing that on March 13, "My Name is Loh Kiwan" was watched 5.1 million times and recorded 11.2 million viewing hours from March 4 to 10, ranking first in the non-English language category.
After it premiered on March 1, it started at third place in the global top 10 during its first week. For its second week, it continues to attract more international viewers and even topped in 31 countries including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Portugal, Morocco, and Bolivia.
"My Name is Loh Kiwan" is Song Joong Ki's comeback Netflix movie following his record-breaking film "Space Sweepers" in 2021.

The movie tells the story of Loh Kiwan, a North Korean defector who stayed in Belgium with the last hope of life, and Marie, a woman who has lost her reason to live. The two fall in love and conquer their problems together.
'Doctor Slump' Remains Unbeatable in Global Rankings
Aside from the movie, ongoing K-dramas starring some of the hottest stars today are dominating the Netflix rankings.
With just a week remaining before its finale, JTBC's "Doctor Slump," solidified its position and ranked fifth in the Non-English language TV series category, making it the highest rank among Korean works included in the list.
The rom-com medical series headlined by Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik, tells the story of doctors who fall into the biggest slump of their lives. The drama has been in the ranking since it premiered in January.
'Queen of Tears' Makes Graceful Debut on Netflix Global Ranking
Lastly, tvN's newly released drama "Queen of Tears" starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won gracefully entered the list just after two episodes were released. According to the source, the series ranked seventh, marking another achievement for the drama and its team.
It already garnered 1.2 million viewing hours during its pilot week.
"Queen of Tears" was also near to achieving double-digit ratings with its latest episode. The fresh narrative of the series is making the viewers hook and anticipate the upcoming turns of events.
