Joo Won Admits Contrasting Persona On Screen and in Real Life
Amid his return to the small screen with "The Midnight Studio," Joo Won made his guest appearance on the famous talk show "My Little Old Boy" on March 17. There, apart from talking about his new work and career, the celebrity opened up about his personal life, specificically his relationship experiences.
During the interview session, the hosts pointed out that the actor's real-life personality is contradictory to his image onscreen. Despite his oozing charisma in his projects, Joo Won is said to be a bit of a baby at home.
Joo Won agreed with the host and said:
"Yes, I only have one sibling and he's also a guy. So, at home, I tried to become a son who is almost like a daughter."
He also admitted that he still likes to touch his mom's fat on her cheeks and belly.
Joo Won Confesses Why His Ex-Girlfriends Got Sick of Him
As their conversation continued, Joo Won's dating stories were brought to light. The "My Sassy Girl" star revealed that he tends to express his feelings excessively, which often leads women to grow tired of him.
"I express too much of my feelings to them too often. I constantly praise and say I love you to them."
Joo Won then admitted that he says it like 20 to 30 times a day.
After hearing this, the hosts expressed their sympathy and understood Joo Won's experiences. They also said that this might be the reason why the actor's ex-girlfriends got sick of him, to which Joo Won responded.
"Yeah, I know. But I didn't know that at the time. When I was young, I believed there was nothing wrong with being that expressive."
The hosts then comforted and cheered him up.
"There are definitely people who would be fond of that kind of dating style, so don't worry."
Joo Won Leads ENA Channel's 'The Midnight Studio'
Meanwhile, Joo Won currently stars in the ENA Channel K-drama "The Midnight Studio." He plays the role of Seo Ki Joo, a prickly photographer who runs the studio.
Opposite him is Kwon Nara, playing the character of Han Bom, a passionate lawyer who winds up offering legal advice to the ghosts that visit the studio.
The drama is about a professional photo studio that only exists for the deceased. It already debuted on primetime on March 11 and captivated viewers with its heartwarming narrative.
"The Midnight Studio" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. (KST).
