Joo Won dished on his experience filming his K-drama comeback. At "The Midnight Studio" press conference, the actor talked about being selected to take on the lead role.
One of the most versatile stars of his generation, Joo Won is best known for his characters in "Bridal Mask," "Good Doctor," "Alice," "Yong Pal," and his action-packed movie "Carter."
From his bada** role in the Netflix film, the South Korean heartthrob will make viewers swoon over his character in the soon-to-be released romance-fantasy K-drama "The Midnight Studio."
Joo Won Reveals Crying After Reading 'The Midnight Studio' Script
During his interview, Joo Won admitted getting emotional upon reading "The Midnight Studio" script for the first time. Revealing reasons why he accepted the offer, the actor explained that "The Midnight Studio" is the work he was "looking for at the time."
"I received this work at a time when I was looking for a warm drama where I could feel healing while reading the script and acting."

The actor added how he was moved by the story upon reading it for the first time.
"When I first read the script, I could relate to it a lot, and I cried for a long time."
The upcoming K-drama follows the story of a photographer named Seo Ki Joo, who runs a small photo studio. This kind of service only exists for the deceased. As the 7th owner of the photo studio, Seo Ki Joo takes portraits of his clients, who are ghosts that come into his mini studio.
Joining Joo Won is Kwon Nara, who plays as Han Bom, a passionate lawyer offering legal service to the ghosts that visit Ki Joo's studio.

During "The Midnight Studio" press conference, the actor dished on how the crew and fellow actors meshed well while filming the series.
"The actors and staff felt that this could be a really heartwarming and good project. Since the filming process was really happy, I think that the viewers will be able to feel this as well."
As for the actress, she shared the same sentiment with Joo Won and expressed how she was "moved" by the series' story premise.
"Personally, out of all the projects I filmed, I consider 'The Midnight Studio' to be a project of a lifetime."
She also hoped that viewers would get to "feel the moments" like what they did and that it "remains a drama of a lifetime for them as well."
"The Midnight Studio" premieres on March 11. It airs every Monday and Tuesday via ENA and Genie TV.
