"The Impossible Heir" star Hong Su Zu is garnering attention for the wrong reasons.
The Disney+ series features a powerhouse cast, with Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young playing as the main characters. Rookie actress Hong Su Zu joins the lineup as one of the main leads, alongside Choi Hee Jin.
As the drama nears its finale, viewers continue to express their disappointment in one cast member for her poor acting skills.
Hong Su Zu sparked negative reactions on social media as viewers criticized her portrayal of Na Hye Won.
In the 12-episode K-drama, Na Hye Won is Han Tae Oh's (Lee Jae Wook) love interest but got married to his best friend Kang In Ha (Lee Jun Young).
The trio met during their high school years and agreed to push their plan to take over one of South Korea's largest conglomerates.
Growing up, Hye Won experienced living in a struggling family. She is the daughter of a gambler who had to deal with her mother's huge debt. This is also the reason she joined Tae Oh and In Ha on their plan.
As "The Impossible Heir" entered the second half, viewers noticed Hong Su Zu's lack of improvement in her portrayal. With this, viewers flocked to social media to express their displeasure with her performance.
Hong Su Zu's 'Awkward Expression' in 'The Impossible Heir' Has People Disappointed
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, a user shared a TikTok video with a compilation of Hong Su Zu's portrayal of Na Hye Won.
The post with the caption, "Go girl, give us nothing," continued to gain the attention of viewers who expressed the same stance on the actress' acting skills.
Users were brutally honest about their thoughts on Hong Su Zu's acting, citing that she lacks chemistry with Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young.
In addition, netizens also pointed out her "awkward expression" during heavy emotional scenes.
With some calling her acting "worse," others mentioned that the Disney+ series has potential because of its intriguing plot but was "wasted" because of the "incomprehensible bad acting" of the lead actress.
On the other hand, while Hong Su Zu faced backlash from viewers, supporting actress Choi Hee Jin, who played the role of Kang In Ha's stepsister Kang Hee Joo, was praised for her unique chemistry with Lee Jae Wook.
Some even mentioned that they wanted to see more screen time between Kang Hee Joo and Han Tae Oh.

Released on February 28, Disney+ introduced the webtoon-based K-drama "The Impossible Heir," which depicts the story of a trio who wanted to take over Kangoh Group, one of the largest conglomerates run by Kang In Ha's father.
However, amid their plan, Han Tae Oh gets caught up in a frame-up, resulting in his falling out with Kang In Ha.
