Im Siwan returns to the big screen with Park Gyu Young as the duo headline the upcoming movie "Mantis."
Following his remarkable performances in "Boston 1947" and "Unlocked," both released in 2023, the South Korean actor will take on a challenging role in the new film.
Im Siwan to Transform as the Legendary Killer in 'Mantis'
In an exclusive report, Im Siwan was selected to portray the main character in "Mantis."
The upcoming film is a spin-off of the hit movie "Kill Bok Soon," headlined by award-winning stars Jeon Do Yeon and Sol Kyung Gu.
For his big screen comeback, where he will showcase his versatility as an actor, Im Siwan takes on the character of the legendary killer named "Mantis."
Meanwhile, joining him to portray one of the main characters is Park Gyu Young, who has displayed her acting spectrum through hit K-dramas "Sweet Home" and "Celebrity."
As for the upcoming spin-off, "Mantis" will be directed by Byun Sung Hyun, who is also the screenwriter and director of "Kill Bok Soon."
Interestingly, this will be his second time to work with Im Siwan after the actor headlined the 2017 movie "The Merciless" with Sol Kyung Gu.
With Im Siwan returning to the big screen, viewers will get to see his new movie in the coming year, as the team will start the production of "Mantis" in August under Netflix.
On the other hand, the upcoming movie will be Im Siwan and Park Gyu Young's second project together, as they both star in the highly anticipated sequel, "Squid Game" season 2.
