'Queen of Tears' Stars Celebrate New Milestone

On April 24, tvN released photos and videos of "Queen of Tears" lead stars greeting and thanking viewers for surpassing a 20% viewership rating.

The network captioned the post with, "In celebration of tvN exceeding 20% rating for the first time in four years."

The released photos showed Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin taking proof snaps to commemorate the viewership milestone. They held balloons with the number 20, and each of them left messages to thank the avid viewers of the series.

Among them, Park Sung Hoon caught the attention of many as he comically apologized for his evil character.

"20% viewership rating, thank you so much for your love and support. Also... I am sorry."

This, of course, drew laughter from everyone.

Park Sung Hoon portrays the character of Yoon Eun Sung, the drama's antagonist, whose misdeeds have reached the peak of evilness in recent episodes, making the audience furious.

The actor apologized for causing frustration to viewers who are overly immersed in "Queen of Tears" with his realistic and notable expression as Eun Sung.

Previously, after the latest drama episode broadcast, viewers of "Queen of Tears" went to Park Sung Hoon's Instagram and flooded his recent posts with hate comments due to his evil portrayal in the drama.

Despite the hate he received, many are also sending their compliments and support to Park Sung Hoon as they acknowledge the actor's impressive performance in the drama.

In addition, he is about to reach one million followers on social media, proving his ongoing popularity.

What To Expect in 'Queen of Tears' Finale

Meanwhile, "Queen of Tears" finale will officially air this weekend as Episode 15 and 16 will grace our screens on April 27 and 28 on tvN and Netflix.

The drama team also announced that the last two episodes will be released 10 minutes earlier than its original schedule.

Viewers are anticipating whether Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won) and Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) will have a happy ending.

All eyes are also on the series as to whether "Queen of Tears" will beat another record to surpass "Crash Landing on You's" viewership rating. If so, the weekend drama will make a milestone in tvN's history.

"Queen of Tears" Episode 14 recorded the highest rating of 21.6 percent surpassing "Goblin" with a rating peak of 20.7 percent.
