Lee Jae Wook’s Agency Warns Fans Against Scam to Sign-Up for the Actor’s ‘Paid Membership’

Lee Jae Wook's agency has released a statement warning the public regarding a scam targeting the fans of the "Alchemy of Souls" star.

Amid the huge popularity of the South Korean heartthrob, both locally and internationally, he is being used to dupe fans.

In a report, C-JeS Studio posted an official statement, warning fans regarding accounts impersonating the company.

As mentioned by the talent label, there have been cases of attempts to take financial gain by pretending to offer Lee Jae Wook's paid membership.

"Recently, it has been confirmed that there have been cases of damage impersonating our company and demanding money for the purpose of signing up for actor Lee Jae-wook's paid membership."

Lee Jae Wook's agency announced that the actor "does not operate any memberships except for the Japanese fan club.

In addition, the label says "do not request money or collect personal information" for fans under any circumstances.

Lastly, C-JeS Studio also requested fans to "be careful" to avoid any damage in the future.

Interestingly, Lee Jae Wook started 2024 with an interesting series as he headlined the crime mystery K-drama "The Impossible Heir."

He is joined by Lee Jun Young and Hong Su Zu as lead stars as they portray the trio who are set to take over Korea's top conglomerate.

In an interview, Lee Jae Wook revealed what prompted him to star in "The Impossible Heir."

According to him, the "script made a strong first impression" on him, especially Han Tae Oh's (his character's) ambitious mission.

"He is persistent, and once he sets his mind to a task, he pursues it until it's accomplished," he added as he described his character.

Interestingly, Lee Jae Wook will be returning to the small screen with a new drama.

The South Korean heartthrob is in talks to star in the novel-based mystery historical K-drama "Hong Rang."

Taking on the titular role, the drama depicts the story of a family who gained their wealth as merchants during the Joseon Dynasty.

In the drama, Hong Rang mysteriously returns after disappearing. As for his half-sister, she wants to know the truth behind her brother's disappearance.

"Hong Rang" will be directed by Kim Hong Seon of the hit series Voice," "L.U.C.A.: The Beginning," and "Money Heist: Korea."

Lee Jae Wook is set to work alongside Jo Bo Ah, Uhm Ji Won, Jung Ga Ram, and more.
