During an interview with a local media outlet, the actress talks about the huge popularity of "The 8 Show."
According to her, she expected that the webtoon based K-drama would captivate many viewers both locally and internationally since the premise of the story is about social inequality.
"I thought people would sympathize with those stories. I'm glad that the response was good."
With only less than a week since its premiere, "The 8 Show" ranks 2nd in Netflix's global top 10 tv shows as of May 22.
In addition to this, the 8 episode K-drama lands as the top TV show in 3 countries, including Hong Kong, South Korea, and Vietnam.

In a previous interview, "The 8 Show" director expressed how delighted he is to see Chun Woo Hee get all the praise from viewers for perfectly portraying the role of 8th floor.
Director Han Jae Rim even went on and called the actress "Korea's Emma Stone" since the Hollywood star shined in two completely different films, "La La Land" and "Poor Things."

As for Chun Woo Hee, she showcased her versatility in acting by starring in "The 8 Show" as the villain and Do Da Hae in "Atypical Family."
In her response regarding her new nickname, the actress was touched by director Han Jae Rim's comment and said that she would "work hard" to prove it.
"I like it so much, and sometimes I hear people say we look alike," she said, adding, "My favorite movie is 'La La Land.' I like it because, as an actor, I have a wide range of acting."
Chun Woo Hee on the Possibility of 'The 8 Show' Season 2?
Since the webtoon based K-drama ended with a cliffhanger, viewers speculate that there will be "The 8 Show" season 2.
As for Chun Woo Hee, she hopes that the series gets renowned and "would like to participate as the 8th floor again," if given a chance.
On the other hand, she predicted that if "The 8 Show" gets a green light for the second season, the 3rd floor, played by Ryu Jun Yeol, will definitely make a comeback.
