Han Ye Seul Reveals Experiencing Discrimination in Italy
On May 27, Han Ye Seul shared with her fans photos of the hotel she and her husband stayed at in Italy.
Han Ye Seul and her husband, Ryu Sung Jae, went to Europe for their honeymoon. However, instead of having an enjoyable experience during their trip, the actress revealed that she faced racial discrimination at an accommodation named Splendido Mare Portofino, which she found highly upsetting.
Based on her lengthy Instagram post, she expressed her displeasure with the Paraggi Beach Club in Portofino.
According to the "Birth of a Beauty" star, as a guest, she was supposed to be seated at the Terraza Dior. Unfortunately, without any notice or explanation, she was placed elsewhere.
She detailed the incidents in her caption, written in full English. The actress stated that the hotel knew that she was a guest and had confirmed the reservation.
"They told me my seat was fully booked. They said the terrace was not open when it actually was. They claimed bookings only started the day before, which was when I had made my reservation. This was still a fact when rechecked the next day. Only after I complained about the discrimination was I allowed access to the Dior Terrace."
