Song Seung Hoon took a trip down memory lane. In his recent interview, he mentioned by Lim Ji Yeon when he was asked about his project together with the actress.
As the actor returns to the small screen with the action comedy "The Player 2: Master of Swindlers," the veteran star shared his experience doing intimate scenes on camera.
During his appearance in MBC's "Radio Star" with co-stars Lee Si Eon, Oh Yeon Seo, and Jang Gyu Ri, he was asked about his 2014 movie "Obsessed," in which he was the lead star alongside with Lim Ji Yeon.
Song Seung Heon Talks About Working With Lim Ji Yeon, Song Hye Kyo
According to the actor, he noticed that the historical-romance film "has been experiencing a resurgence in popularity."
He added that, apart from "Obsessed" being Lim Ji Yeon's debut work, the popularity of "The Glory," in which she was also part of, also contributed to the resurgence of the movie.
Interestingly, he also joked that working with him brings luck.
"Song Hye Kyo, who starred with Lim Ji Yeon in 'The Glory', filmed 'Autumn in My Heart' with me. That work was Song Hye Kyo's traditional drama debut. Working with me seems to bring good fortune."
Song Seung Heon Recalls Bed Scene With Lim Ji Yeon in 'Obsessed'
Speaking of working with Lim Ji Yeon, he also mentioned the bed scene that they did during the filming of "Obsessed."
The actor pointed out that despite the intimate scene, "there's no personal emotion involved" since it was purely acting.
On top of that, the set was awkward since everyone, including the staff, was present.
"The atmosphere isn't as sweet as it may seem. While the audience may watch breathlessly, the set is filled with staff, making it impossible to have personal feelings."
Directed and penned by Kim Dae Woo of "The Servant '' and "Forbidden Quest," Song Seung Heon plays as Colonel Kim Jin Pyeong, who returns to Korea in the late 1960s after the Vietnam War.
On his return, he meets Jong Ga Heun, the wife of his new subordinate, who recently moved to their area.
Little did they know that they would develop romantic feelings for each other despite having respective families.
"Obsessed" has bagged notable awards in various ceremonies.
Despite Lim Ji Yeon landing her first big role, she took home the Best New Actress Award at the 2014 Grand Bell Awards, while Song Seung Hoon won the Popularity Award at the Blue Dragon Awards.
Song Seung Heon on Marriage: 'I Feel Envious'
One of the top-notch bachelors in the K-drama industry, Song Seung Heon talked about marriage and settling down.
The 47-year-old star admitted that he had thoughts about getting married and has always wanted to have a family of his own.
"I feel envious when friends and senior colleagues bring their families to gatherings."
The actor has been tight-lipped about his current romantic status, but he dated Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei back in 2015, but they called it quits in 2018.
Meanwhile, Song Seung Heon will make his small screen return through "The Player 2: Master of Swindlers," slated to premiere on June 3.
