Seoul Drama Awards 2024 Announces Nominees for 'Asia Star Award'

An intense battle between some of the trending stars and popular dramas this 2024 is about to occur as they are nominated in this year's Seoul Drama Awards.

On June 12, a media outlet delivered good news to the public as they finally revealed the list of nominees for the 2024 Seoul Drama Awards.

The organizing committee Chairman Park Min and TNK Factory announced that from June 15 to July 14, 2024, global K-pop fans can start voting for the Seoul Drama Awards 2024 through the voting app Idol Champ. 

It has been said that the categories include the 'Asia Star Award' covering Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and the 'Drama OST Award.

There will be 12 actors and actresses who will compete for the Asia Star Award in Korea. This recognition will be given to actors who were loved in dramas over the past year in six Asian countries.

Candidates are not just from Korea, but also from Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. 

'Lovely Runner' & 'Queen of Tears' Stars To Have Tight Competition for 'Asia Star Award'

These are the candidates from Korea for the Asia Star Award.

1. Kim Soo Hyun - "Queen of Tears"

2. Byeon Woo Seok - "Lovely Runner"

3. Cha Eun Woo - "Wonderful World"

4. Song Kang - "My Demon"

5. Suho - "Missing Crown Prince"

6. Lee Junho - "King the Land"

7. Chae Jong Hyeop - "Castaway Diva"

8. Kim Ji Won - "Queen of Tears"

9. Kim Hye Yoon - "Lovely Runner"

10. Park Bo Young - "Daily Dose of Sunshine"

11. Im Yoona - "King the Land"

12. Go Yoon Jung - "Moving"

Based on the source, this year's Asia Star Award is notable for including emerging countries, which is expected to enhance cultural exchange in the region. 

Aside from the actors and actresses, various Korean idols are also nominated for the OST Award.

1. Crush - "Love You With All My Heart" - "Queen of Tears" OST

2. SEVENTEEN Seungkwan - "The Moment You Arrive" -  "Tell Me That You Love Me" OST

3. NewJeans - "Our Night is More Beautiful Than Your Day" - "My Demon" OST

4. (G)I-DLE Miyeon - "The Painted of the Moonlight" - "My Dearest" OST

5. BTOB Seo Eunkwang - "100 Wins" - "Chief Detective 1958" OST

The nominees for each category can be viewed on the voting app Idol Champ beginning June 15. In addition, during the voting period, there will be events offering tickets to the awards ceremony which will be held on September 25 at KBS Hall.
