Byeon Woo Seok Feels ‘Embarrassed’ With Resurfacing Photos – Here’s why

Byeon Woo Seok's popularity continued to grow as the public remained intrigued by the South Korean rising star.

Following the fame of his K-drama "Lovely Runner," the 32-year-old actor's past works resurfaced as fans and eagle-eyed netizens unearthed his old photoshoot.

For those who don't know, Byeon Woo Seok began his career as a model and decided to hit the fashion runway after majoring in theater and film at university.

At the time, he was signed under YG KPlus, which also housed fellow actors Jang Ki Yong and Nam Joo Hyuk.

Interestingly, before their fame as K-drama actors, the trio even walked for MUNSOO KWON's runway for the Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

After spending years as a model, Byeon Woo Seok has appeared in various ads and shoots.

With this, fans managed to unearth some of his past works, which definitely gained huge attention from netizens.

Some even posted before and after photos of Byeon Woo Seok, showcasing how his physique changed from slim to buff.

However, the actor expressed his honest thoughts about it.

Why Byeon Woo Seok Was Embarrased About His Old Modeling Photos

In an interview with Jang Do Yeon's "Salon Drip," Byeon Woo Seok opened up about his true feelings regarding the resurfacing of old photos of him during his rookie years as a model.

According to him, the actor confessed that he sometimes "feels like being exposed."

When asked if he was embarrassed about it, Byeon Woo Seok gets honest and says that he does feel "embarrassed" about it and explains the reason why.

"It's a bit embarrassing, but I'm more thankful," he said, adding that he feels great that people would get to see how he has "been through" from modeling and now as an actor.

"It felt very strange yet fascinating," he added.

I was having so much fun with modeling and acting back then, so I just really got into it and worked hard.

Byeon Woo Seok also mentioned that he is enjoying both modeling and acting, and seeing it again on social media makes him look back on himself.

"It feels like people like me for who I am, as a person. I've been active since I was about 21, and the fact that people are looking back at my 13 year journey... It's a bit embarrassing, but mostly i'm just really thankful," he added.

Other than "Lovely Runners," Byeon Woo Seok appeared in various K-dramas, portraying a diverse character.

Prior to the rom-com series, he played the villain character in "Strong Girl Namsoon" as Ryu Shi Oh.

He also headlined the historical series "Moonshine" with Lee Hye Ri as well as "Record of Youth" as his first lead role in "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency."

Interestingly, Byeon Woo Seok was also part of the hit K-drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," where he played Nam Joo Hyuk's brother, who appeared on episode 16.
