THIS Controversial Actress Now Works as Cafe Manager After DUI Scandal

Kim Sae Ron is reportedly hustling with her new career after she chose to be on hiatus due to the drunk driving scandal. After her career plummeted following her DUI controversy in 2022, the former teen star has been living away from the spotlight. 

However, despite trying to lie low, her private life continues to be the center of attention, especially with the media and eagle-eyed netizens. 

Two years after the DUI issue broke out, Kim Sae Ron is reportedly working at a cafe. 

Where is Kim Sae Ron Now?

In a report, news outlet TV Daily mentioned that "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" star now works as a manager at a famous coffee shop. 

The establishment is located in Seongsu-dong, but it did not mention what cafe it is. According to report, Kim Sae Ron's role is to oversee the cafe and personally check on the customers.

It can be recalled that back in 2023, outlets mentioned that the actress was spotted working as a part-timer at a bar in Gangnam, which was reportedly run by her acquaintance. 

At the time, it was not confirmed how long Kim Sae Ron had been working at the establishment. 

Kim Sae Ron's Controversy: From DUI to Dating Rumors

Kim Sae Ron made headlines in 2022 after she was booked for driving under the influence and crashing into a public property, damaging the electric transformer that caused major inconvenience in the neighborhood. 

Due to the intensity of the issue, it prompted her to go on hiatus.

While living under wraps, Kim Sae Ron still continued to attract attention. 

Before news regarding her work as a manager and part-timer at a bar, the actress was criticized for faking an SNS post. 

In a now-deleted post, it featured the controversial actress wearing the uniform of a barista in a cafe, showing evidence of her part-time job.

As the post received attention online, there were rumors that she never worked at the cafe and was only faking it. 

Kim Sae Ron also surprised the public when she accidentally posted an intimate photo of her and former labelmate Kim Soo Hyun, sparking dating rumors.

It was during the height of the actor's K-drama comeback, "Queen of Tears," that he played Kim Ji Won's on-screen husband. 

Kim Soo Hyun's agency immediately released an official statement to do damage control. 

Shutting down the public's speculation, the Gold Medalist denied that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were dating. 

"The photo in question seems to have been taken back when both actors were under the same management. We are unclear about the motives behind Kim Sae-ron's decision to post and then promptly remove the photo," the agency mentioned, as obtained by an outlet.
