Ju Ji Hoon's Long Hair in 'Project Silence' Was His Idea
Interestingly, his unique and remarkable appearance in "Project Silence" was reportedly not planned in the script. Instead, it was Ju Ji Hoon himself who recommended the long-haired visual.
In a report, having Jo Bak with long hair was the actor's idea, which added excitement to his character.
In a separate report, "Project Silence" director Kim Tae Gon teased fans about Ju Ji Hoon's transformation as Jo Bak. He said that besides the actor's new look, viewers will be drawn to his captivating presence, especially with his expressions and actions.
"Ju Ji-hoon's sense of humor and wit added to the comic elements of the character 'Jobak,' making him even more lovable."
In addition to this, Jo Bak will also be teaming up with his adorable pet Jody, which will be the film's highlight and not be missed.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Ju Ji Hoon has gone to greater lengths for a role.
Showing his dedication and how immersed he is in his role, he suggested to the director if he could do a bold hairstyle in the 2018 movie "Dark Figure of Crime."
Portraying a convict named Kang Tae Oh, he admitted to the crimes that he committed prior to his arrest.
As for his character, Ju Ji Hoon asked director Kim Tae Gyoon if he could shave his hair off.
"Thinking about Kang, who complains, 'even after killing seven, no inmate shows me due respect,' I thought that after he was imprisoned in the jungle of heinous criminals, he must have wanted to look strong," Ju Ji Hoon explained according to media outlet The Korea Times.
