While attracting a lot of interest, casting Gong Yoo, who will reprise his role as the recruiter of the show, does not seem to feature any of the new cast members.

Jo Yuri, a former member of the most popular K-pop girl group IZ*ONE, has joined the cast this year and recently confirmed her participation via interviews due to her presence in the "KCON LA 2024."

Meanwhile, none of the trailers or posters seemingly feature her in the cast, which raises suspicion that she is not going to have a major role in the movie or might be killed off in the early episodes of the season.

Other major castings of T.O.P and Im Siwan are not in focus at the moment. Thus, it is unclear what roles they will have and how much screen time they will receive. Nevertheless, fans' excitement for the next season of "Squid Game" is growing.
