On Sunday, a chaotic scene occurred at the airport when singer-actor Xiao Zhan was unable to board his flight as a large number of fans swarmed him.

Xiao, a former member of the survival show group X NINE and now one of China's biggest idols, was met with devoted fans as he attempted to board a flight to Macau.

In the video, a group of fans were rushing towards the star at one point, which forced bodyguards in to protect him.

The footage shows the fans being pushed aside by bodyguards so Xiao Zhan, who appeared shaken from all the commotion, could pass through.

Flight attendants in red uniforms also tried to take him to his seat during the commotion. One passenger was also seen pulling the curtains as if to give the star some space during her ordeal.

The airport mobbing is not the first experience Xiao Zhan has had. Airport mobbing is often "business as usual" for so many celebrities.

While gaining a lot of attention, the idol maintains her services up to Soeul.

The incident brings renewed attention to the challenges public figures face when dealing with adoring fans.
