Song Hye Kyo spoke honestly about her life and her career on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae-hyung.

With a freshly chopped bob, Song opened up about life after her split from actor Song Joong Ki and how she is trying to break out of her acting mold.
During the interview, as reported by Sports Chosun, Song — a star of such popular dramas as "Descendants of the Sun" — seemed comfortable and casual.
The host, Jung Jae Hyung, kindly complimented her and said, "Your head is so tiny! We waited so long, and you are still so pretty. Song responded, "For a new project, I did my hair short. I'm still getting accustomed to it.
Looking back at the career change, Song said after playing the same types of roles for years, she wanted to try something different. "I had been playing similar types of roles and genres for some time now," she said.
"As an actor, even I eventually got bored with myself. In the early days of some news on 'The Glory,' I thought that it was a no-hope show, that no one watching would get their hopes up too high. However, because they were in shock because it was an entirely different character in a revenge drama, I think they were amazed!"

Song also opened up about what she has learned in her own life, even regarding her divorce from Song Joong Ki. "Over the years, I have had lots of experiences, both happy and hard as a women and an actress, and everything in-between," she said. "I believe that I have learnt a lot about life."
Aside from talking about her acting career, Song thanked her fellow actors and co-stars. She also praised her fellow actors from "The Glory" and Jeon Yeo, who had been co-actress, for "putting her heart into" her role.
"They're so passionate and thoughtful," she said. "Sometimes I think, 'Hye-kyo, why don't you think as much as they do? You should put more thought into things.'"

The candid conversation offered a rare insight into Song's pondering of the past, present, and her vision for the future, including her development as an artist and a human being.
