As per Daily Sports, the association's director, Kwon Young-chan, met Kim's father at her funeral, which took place on Sunday, and said that the YouTuber's videos had a great influence on the late 23-year-old actress.

Kim was discovered dead at her home on Feb. 16. The funeral for her is being carried out at Seoul Asan Medical Center, and she will be buried on Feb. 19.

Kwon was quoted as saying, "YouTuber A has been invading Kim Sae-Ron's privacy for quite some time."

In January, after Kim shared wedding-themed photos on social media, the YouTuber posted content in which he questioned whether Kim was being genuine about self-reflecting.

Kwon added that those videos further strengthened the public's scrutiny of the actress.
The YouTuber has deleted or privatized some of the videos in question following backlash over Kim's death.

"This is more than just competing for viewership – it ruined a person's life," Kwon said, calling for the public to let public figures start over with no online harassment.

Having overcome financial strife and suicidal depression, it was reported that Kim was trying to move on when the incident incited backlash from YouTubers and sparked a public outcry.

Kwon also said that content relating to the celebrity YouTuber is being gathered as the bereaved family is contemplating filing a suit or a complaint with the Press Arbitration Commission. Kwon said: "We will provide complete support for free."

It has triggered broader discussions about whether more systematic action is needed to protect public figures from damaging online content.

Among the most prominent celebrities who have paid their last respects to Kim are the actors Won Bin, Kim Bora, and IU. Her final movie, Guitar Man, will be released in May.
