On March 3, Kang Ye Won appeared on the STORY's entertainment show "Can I Love Now" and spoke about her recent absence from acting.

As per AllKpop, the 38-year-old actress opened up about the mental toll that nasty comments have taken on her psyche.
Ye Won, who was last seen on-screen two years ago when the drama "The One and Only" ended, said, "I've just been living diligently. I've been doing other creative things, such as acting and producing films, painting, and having exhibitions."
Ye Won, who explained that she is a workaholic, said, "I cried a lot because of malicious comments."
The feedback was so horrible that she said emotionally that she could not handle it and asked how long she could take the pressure. She revealed that she had thought, "I should just throw it all away and take a break."
The actress also talked about her personal life, saying that she is not actively dating.
"I was satisfied just watching other people's relationships. (My relationships) aren't going well, and I'm not the type to ask others to introduce me to someone, so it's easier to live from an observer's perspective," said Ye Won.
Ye Won said about her family, "I decided to appear in order to give hope to my 83-year-old father and 75-year-old mother who are not in good health."
There are nights she cannot sleep because of the fear of losing her dad.
"The reason I work hard is because of my parents," she said. "What my parents want the most is for their daughter to meet a partner and live a stable life and to appear on TV a lot." She said, "I really need to work hard while my parents are alive. I'm a filial daughter."
