Actress Lee Si-young officially divorced restaurateur Jo on March 17 after eight years of marriage.
As per KbiZoom citing YTN, the couple filed for divorce via the Seoul Family Court earlier this year and had settled on the terms of the divorce, including asset division and custody of their son.
Lee Si-young married Jo in 2017, just when she reached the peak of her acting career.
Jo, a businessman nine years her senior gained notoriety for his ventures in the restaurant industry. Due to his influence in the food sector, he earned the nickname "Little Baek Jong-won."
They were married to great fanfare, and the media presented them as a power couple.
A year after their wedding, the couple further endeared themselves to the public by welcoming their son.
Lee opened up about her family life on hit variety shows, including "I Live Alone" and "Omniscient Interfering View," during her marriage.
Her candid discussions about motherhood resonated with many viewers, portraying an image of a loving family.

Actress Lee Si-young became famous in 2008 for her role in the TV drama Boys Over Flowers and went on to attract viewers with reality shows such as We Got Married.
She furthered her multi-talent actress status by boxing, something she was initially trained for a role in, and then she competed in amateur tournaments.
Her most recent work includes a starring role in Netflix's Sweet Home, Seasons 2 and 3. In these seasons, she played the character Seo Kyung, impressing audiences with her performance in intense action sequences.
