Han So Hee Shares Her Journey of Self-Discovery After Controversy: 'It's About Mindset and Responsibility'

Actress Han So-hee opened up about her journey of self-discovery and personal growth in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea, where she graced the cover for April 2025.

The cover shoot, themed "21st Century Goddess," showcases her elegance and versatility through a series of stunning ensembles.

In the interview, as per KBiZoom, Han discussed her evolving definition of beauty, stating, "Lately, I've come to realize that beauty isn't just about physical appearance.

Just like the saying, 'A kind heart is beautiful,' I think it has a lot to do with one's mindset and even physical endurance."

She added, "Instead of saying, 'I'm so exhausted, I can't do anything,' I've started thinking, 'I can't do anything right now, so I'll at least take some vitamins and get some rest.' If I don't have energy on set, it inevitably affects those around me. Making sure I don't transfer my struggles onto others has become my new standard for beauty."

The conversation shifted to her highly anticipated upcoming film "Project Y," which is set in Seoul's upscale Gangnam district. The noir film follows two childhood friends who plan an audacious heist to steal gold bars worth 8 billion KRW (approximately 5.5 million USD).

Han expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying, "When I first chose this film, I thought, 'This is a movie I can only do at this exact moment in my life.' If I were five years younger or five years older, I wouldn't be able to bring the same mix of youthful determination and a certain level of maturity that I have now."

In discussing her relationship with co-star Jeon Jong-seo, Han noted their growing friendship and the importance of their on-screen chemistry.

"I want to prove that through this film," she said.

Han also touched on her commitment to honesty and accountability in her public persona.
