After the untimely passing of actress Kim Sae Ron, her former boyfriend -- known only as "K" in the report -- has drawn the ire of netizens following an interview in which he referred to speculation regarding the actress's death and spoke about her private life in bold terms.

In the interview, as reported by Koreaboo, K asserted that Kim Soo Hyun, who has been linked to the case, was not responsible for Kim Sae Ron's death.

Instead, he placed the blame on her family, suggesting that they had a more significant role in her struggles.

K explained that Kim Sae Ron turned to him for comfort as her husband is said to have given her emotional and physical abuse.

He claimed that after discovering their communication, her husband took control of her phone and monitored her actions.

K also released a collection of texts between him and Kim Sae Ron, as well as text messages from her husband.

He expressed disbelief at the sudden emergence of Kim Sae Ron's aunt, who has been vocal in claiming to represent her bereaved family and pushing narratives that implicate Kim Soo Hyun in her death.

"It's absurd to me that her aunt suddenly appears... If her biological parents aren't even stepping forward, isn't it more likely they are the ones she wanted to escape from?" K stated in the interview.

The response from Korean netizens has been overwhelmingly negative. Many expressed disgust at what they perceived as an attempt to profit from Kim Sae Ron's death.

Comments on the social media platform theqoo ranged from calling K's actions "disgusting" to questioning how much he was paid for the interview.

"This is truly a sad situation," one user remarked. On the other hand, someone said, "They are rubbish for throwing the deceased and even didn't say sorry."

That all happened while other developments continued as other figures involved with the case came forward and spoke out.

Sulli's brother recently criticized Kim Soo Hyun's fans in a scathing update, further complicating the narrative surrounding these events.

Kim Sae Ron's mother also chimed in on the situation and, with a new statement, described accusations surrounding a 'fake aunt.'
