Marvel's highly anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy" teaser trailer release date has been announced. The official trailer will be released February 18!
Despite some footage being shown to Comic Con fans last July 2013, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" plot details has been shrouded in secrecy, but in less than a week we'll all get a chance to check out the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer!
Yahoo confirmed that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer will be released on February 18.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer was rumored to be released during the Super Bowl, but the event came and no trailer was released. While "Guardians of the Galaxy" footage was well received at Comic-Con, the movie is still somewhat of a wildcard for Marvel.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" characters are a bunch of relatively untested characters for mainstream audiences and it is a whole new world that doesn't have the established fan base that we've seen for the Avengers or Loki. Fans are excited for it, though, mostly for their curiosity on how Rocket Raccoon will appear on screen and how Thanos will be featured in the film.
Speaking of Rocket Raccoon, Marvel released a bunch of videos of Rocket Raccoon and Groot taken from the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie.
Also surprising was a report late last week that stated Marvel has already scheduled a "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel for 2016. While it's simply a rumor as of now, we do know that Marvel has a film slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is set for an August 1, 2014 release. The film features the intergalactic group of Guardians, led by Star Lord, as they make a desperate stand to save the galaxy. Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon and is joined by Vin Diesel as the tree-like Groot, with Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista filling out the leading roles. James Gunn directed and wrote the script.
