If you heard about Dong Nguyen pulling the Flappy Bird game from app stores, you are right. It also means if you haven't downloaded and installed Flappy Bird for your phone, you 'missed the boat'.
On the other hand, there are rumors that iPhones with preinstalled versions of the bit vame are selling like hot cakes on ebay. But is this verified?
There.are stories floating on the Net if you're willing to spend some major 'mullah', (as much as $100,000) you might just be able to fish for an iPhone with the bit game installed on it.
It might sound, it looks like some people are doing this and there are more iPhones that have Flappy Bird. So, now a used iPhones with Flappy Bird costs more than the real iPhone - at least the 16GB version.
If you check eBay's "sold" listings you will find there are some listings showing iphones with Flappy Bird installed.
But a deeper analysis would show that these phones are bought at exorbitant prices or from the Buy It Now option through eBay.
In addition, tech.com analysts believe the accounts used to buy the phones may not be verifiable.
Many accounts also had a feedback of less than 3 and the new accounts had 0 feedback, which makes the whole 'Flappy Bird' conundrum even more mystrious.
It sound like there is a campaign to boost.interest.in the game.
Some analysts say that Don Nguyen' motive to pull an incredibly polulr online game sound like ploy to raise interest in a second release of the game.
According to one analyst, "I can see one of two possibilities playing out here. Either someone or a couple of people are trying to scam others out of a quick buck with phony eBay ads or what's more likely, someone is simply trying to drum up interest for the game / create a market for Flappy Bird-installed phones that doesn't yet exist."
