Looks like "Everything is AWESOME" for Emmet and the gang as "The LEGO Movie" has been a huge success in the box office on Valentine's Day weekend.

Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow's 3D animated hit "The LEGO Movie" became a box office hit! The movie crushed the competition and gained $60 million over the holiday weekend. With its broadened appeal to non-families, The LEGO Movie earned an estimated $48.8 million Friday-Sunday, down a mere 29%, with a whopping $60 million through President's Day.

The film has collected a total projected $140.3 million domestically in just two weeks. A similar trajectory to Universal's "The Lorax" in early March 2012. Box office pundits are projecting overall holiday box office to be ahead of the same frame last year. That said, Valentine's Day falling on a Friday gave this year a considerable edge.

Well certainly The LEGO Movie has indeed gave its best shot so far, but let's also see the four films that are in competition last weekend.

First off, we have Sony-Screen Gems' "About Last Night," which won the Valentine's Day derby with nearly $13 million, also came away the leader among the weekend's new entries and have earned $30.2 million in just four days.

"RoboCop" on the other hand misfired with $30 million in six days, although IMAX contributed a solid $4.5 million from only 340 domestic locations. There is still more hope for the film in the international market and has neared $96 million worldwide through Monday and is expected to top out at around $200 million overseas, with optimistic projections in countries yet to bow including China, Japan and Brazil.

Meanwhile, Universal's "Endless Love," another 80's reboot shown this weekend, fell in line with pre-weekend expectations, grossing $15.2 million in four days, ranking third on Valentine's Day, with $7.4 million behind only About Last Night and The LEGO Movie, respectively.

Failing short is Warner's time-jumping weeper "Winter's Tale" earning only $7.8 million Friday-Sunday, with around $8.5 million over the long holiday weekend.

Will "The LEGO Movie" box office streak continues to bring them success over this week, well we're find out more when we have updates on the next box office polls.
