The woman who tried to blackmail singer-actor Park Yoochun has been caught. The as-yet-unidentified 30-something woman threatened to expose photos and messages that concerned Yoochun if he did not pay her $100,000.

The blackmailer is said to have picked up the phone in a café. In some reports it was said that the phone belonged to Yoochun. In others it was said to belong to his former girlfriend, who was not named. The cell phone was said to have photos of the two of them and text messages that might embarrass Yoochun.

Park Yoochun offered the woman a smaller amount of money as a compensation fee for finding the phone but the woman refused to accept it. She wanted the full amount or she would release the photos online and to the press. So the JYJ singer's agency reported the woman to the police and she was arrested in a Gangnam-area café.

The Seoul Gangnam Police released a statement to say they captured her.

"We arrested "A," the person who threatened to spread the texts and photos over the Internet if Park Yoochun, his manager and agency did not hand over $100,000," read the police statement.

C-JeS also released a statement on the subject.

"The blackmailer extracted personal information from a cell phone that she acquired and when she spotted Yoochun on the phone, she demanded $100,000 not to spread the information in the phone to a media outlet or online."

C-JeS did clarify that the phone did not belong to Park Yoochun.

"The cellphone in question didn't even belong to Park Yoochun, and therefore he has nothing to do with this case. He is currently focusing on his filming and does not even know the exact details of this issue."

C-JeS did say that the singer had nothing to hide.

"As there is nothing to hide and her crime is serious, we requested an investigation. As she demanded a large sum of money, she was arrested and the case has already been transferred to the prosecution."

The company stressed that they will not take the matter lightly.

"To protect the privacy of our artist, we are pressing charges, so please cooperate with us."

The company also asked the public to refrain from making exaggerated reports of what that cell phone might contain, although fans can't help but speculate.

Park Yoochun is currently getting rave reviews for his acting in the drama "Three Days."
