When contributors were sought for an "International Day of Happiness" video, actress Yoo In Na was happy to help.

The actress, who played Jun Ji Hyun's frenemy in "You Who Came From The Stars" and serves as the host of the show "Get it Beauty," is joining the global happiness project by contributing a video clip. As part of her other show "Yoo In Na's Raise the Volume," she will film a short clip set to Pharrell Williams' hit song "Happy."

The band DickPunks will join her in creating a video clip that sums up their take on the essence of happiness.

American singer and producer Pharrell Williams created the song "Happy" for the soundtrack of the film "Despicable Me 2." It became a runaway hit. The upbeat song topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and charts in 19 other countries, proving perhaps that happiness can be contagious. The record sold one million copies in the United Kingdom alone.

So the United Nations Foundation asked the singer if they could use his song to spread happiness around the globe. To celebrate the recently International Day of Happiness, the foundation will assemble a video compiling material that is sent from people in many countries.

Pharrell asked his fans to post YouTube videos of themselves expressing their happiness with the hashtag #HAPPYDAY. They were asked to submit them to his site at https://www.24hoursofhappiness.com. The producer will feature the best submissions on International Happiness Day, which is March 20. The video will include international submissions such as those by Yoo In Na.

International Happiness Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 because the pursuit of happiness has been recognized as a fundamental human goal. The project calls for policies that make it easier for people around the world to have better opportunities and rights. According to the resolution, there is "a need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples."

Yoo In Na volunteered to be the official happiness representative for Korea. The actress said that it was easy to see how much happiness and positive energy the song has so far spread around the world. She also said that she wanted to add to that positive energy.
