Cameron Diaz Gives Her Take On Relationships: The Other Woman Star Cameron Diaz gave rather a biased opinion about relationship in an interview with OK! Magazine. She said:
"Everybody has been cheated on," Diaz told OK! magazine UK when asked about her new movie. "Everyone will be cheated on. I can't fix that, I don't know how, I don't have any judgment on anybody, I don't know how to fix the problem."
The Body Book author added, "We are human beings, we are complicated." To illustrate her point, Diaz reasoned, "You cannot go through life without tallying up a few scars, you cannot go through life unscathed, it's just what it is. It's all meant to happen, take your lessons, figure it out, move on."
Unknown whether this is based from her personal experience, looking back at Cameron's past relationships might explain why she came up with such an answer. Diaz, 41, has dated high-profile men including Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and slugger Alex Rodriguez. Currently single, she told OK! that her personal experiences have little affect on her film choices.
"My statement is that I am actually not interested in making movies about men cheating on women; it's not at all what I am interested in," she explained. The Other Woman tells the story about three women (Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton) teaming up together and enacting revenge on a philandering married man (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
Instead, she said, she felt drawn to The Other Woman because of its female friendship theme. "I exist for all my girlfriends," she explained. "I am very, very, very fortunate; my friends are incredible and I am very lucky to have a lot of really solid, good friends," she said. Diaz counts Charlie's Angels costar Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow among her A-list celebrity besties.
