The Black Keys announced their eighth studio album with a tweet from Mike Tyson. The boxer posted a tweet on the evening of Friday March 21, which read "Turn Blue" followed by a link to the Grammy Award winning band's new teaser clip for the record.
The link directed fans to an YouTube video, that shows a hypnotic turntable and the voice of a creepy meditation guru attempting to take control of one's mind. The video then turns out to be a warped commercial for the "special new album Turn Blue by rock musicians The Black Keys, available by cellular phone, in stores or downloaded from Internet on May 13th."
Band members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney will be kicking off their tour at the Hangout Music Festival in Alabama in May, with extensive touring dates all over the Europe. The pair were also recently announced as the final headliner for this year's Latitude festival in Southwold's Henham Park between July 17-20.
