It's no secret that the star formerly known as Lindsay Lohan has quickly disintegrated from great teen flicks like "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" to being better known for her drug issues and tabloid fodder. For whatever reason, Oprah Winfrey has allowed Lohan to have her own TV docu-series (aka reality show) called "Lindsay" on her OWN television network.
Last night's episode of "Lindsay" (episode 3) opened with Lohan's sober coach saying he wants to "ritualize her day a little bit during this really chaotic period." Lohan's personal assistant, Matt Harrell, said he needs "five minutes" in the morning and "five minutes" at night with Lindsay, but he's not getting it. Lindsay has attempted to cancel shooting on a production day and is complaining about the way things about going. Lohan says on the show, "I signed up for something to just [have] a camera just be there, not a reality show. No offense to the Kardashians. They do a great job with theirs, but I don't ever want to be that."
Things are not well in the world of Lohan. Until, Oprah enters the scene, literally, at Lindsay's mom's house on Long Island. Oprah arrives to try to help Lindsay get it together, saying, "This is what I really want to say to you: If you're not ready, I'm really OK with that. If you're not ready to keep the commitment that you made with me and the rest of the crew, I really am. Because when I said that in the interview, I know it was on television, I know we're on television now, but my truth is that I really do want you to win. I really do."
The intervention/interview shows Oprah and Lindsay going back and forth about Lindsay's inability to show up for what she had promised to do. Lohan says, "It's weird to film things that are going on...I'm just not used to it." Lindsay states that she has been maintaining her sobriety.
Near the end of the interview, Oprah is suddenly very brash and open, saying to Lohan to "cut the bullshit." Oprah goes further to say, "If that is the case, then you're not going to be f**king up." Oprah adds, "And I know you're surprised to hear me say 'f**k." "I actually love it," says Lindsay.
The day before the episode aired, Lindsay tweeted: "If anyone can teach you to understand work/life balance...its gonna be @Oprah, ahh! the anxiety, reliving it all over again...#LindsayonOWN."
Do think Lindsay can maintain her sobriety? Will you be watching her docu-series on OWN?
