Mortal Kombat 9 will survive GameSpy's server shutdown as stated by Ed Boon as the Mortal Kombat creator hints further on the possible "Mortal Kombat 10" and "Injustice 2" games in E3 2014. Will Ed Boon and NetherRealm studios show gamers MK10 or Injustice 2?

It was recently reported from VG24/7 that Mortal Kombat 9's multiplayer gameplay will survive the GameSpy server shutdown this month according Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon who tweeted his answer on the situation. Although it's not clear yet on who will pick up Mortal Kombat's server duties, Ed Boon ensured that MK9 will endure the shutdown server past May 31.

Speaking of Ed Boon, the MK creator recently hinted a series of cryptic messages hinting possible sequels of NetherRealm Studios games Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us and will likely be shown on the upcoming E3 2014 event in Los Angeles on June 10-12, 2014.

There are already rumors circulating that Injustice 2 will have two new characters joining the game, the animal shape shifting hero Beast Boy, and the alien tyrant Darkseid while no news yet of which Mortal Komabat characters will join MK10. We will likely see some new faces joining the game like Frost, Reiko, Shinok, Motaro, Onaga, and many more.

The possibilities are endless as gaming fans are hyped for E3 2014 just to see if Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios can deliver on their "surprise" for fans at the event.
