The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers Age Of Ultron Cast: Sophie Caldecott may just have given her father one of the most noble and heart-warming gift in the world. She set off on a quest to make his father Stratford Caldercott, who is slowly losing his battle against prostate cancer, happy in his final days and make it memorable as much as she can. Doctors gave Stratford 12 weeks to live and upon hearing this news, Sophie thought of his father's love for Marvel superheroes.

The first thing that came to her mind? Assemble the Avengers.

So she took to her personal blog with a message for those Avengers--many of whom were off shooting The Avengers: Age of Ultron--not knowing whether anyone would answer the call:

"We're going to try and get in touch with Marvel to ask if they can fulfill dad's dying wish by sending us a copy of the film for him to watch at home. But I think we can go further than that. We're also going to tweet the Avengers actors and see if they will take a picture of themselves holding a sign saying 'Captain America/Thor/Iron Man [insert name of character here] for Strat!' so that we can surprise him with their messages of support and encouragement."

Soon enough, Marvel answered to her call. The writers of Captain America: The Winter Soldier chimed in and began working to get her dad a copy of the movie. Meanwhile, the Avengers themselves took Sophie's cause to social media, along with some help from those Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

As Sophie continues to seek additional Avengers love from the rest of the Marvel superheroes, you can follow her cause over on her blog and on social media through the hashtag #CapforStrat.
