Sandra Bullock gave a surprise graduation speech for Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans on Monday. The ‘Gravity’ actress had lots of good advice, including “stop worrying so much” and “go find your joy.” Watch the speech below!

Bullock, who adopted the New Orleans charter school after Hurricane Katrina, was a surprise graduation speaker! She snuck on stage and surprised the graduates. Her speech was based on things she wished people had told her when she was younger and on the advice she gives her 4-year-old son, Louis.

The ‘Gravity’ actress started off with, “Stop worrying so much. Stop being scared of the unknown. Because anything I worried about didn’t happen. Other stuff happened, but not what I worried about. The unknown we can’t do anything about. I don’t remember any of the moments in my life where I worried, so that’s a lot of time I can’t get back.”

Bullock next said, “Raise the bar higher. I only remember the moments where I tried beyond what I thought I could do, and I do not remember the failures because I didn’t. Nothing is a failure, it’s just not supposed to work out that way, because something better is supposed to come along.”

Bullock added that she and Louis blast music in the house in the mornings, because “you have to dance a little bit before you step out.”

"Eat something green every day," Bullock offered. "Do not pick your nose in public. ... How about we just go get a tissue? ... When someone who cares about you hugs you, hug them back with two arms. ... If someone doesn't want to play with you, it's OK. ... Not everybody is going to love us."

Lastly, the Academy Award winning actress advised, “Go find your joy. It’s not the worry, it’s not the what-ifs. It’s the joy that stays with you.”
