Marion Cotillard's new movie 'Two Days, One Night' is already getting rave reviews after its premiere at Cannes.

Peter Bradshaw at the Guardian writes about Cotillard's performance in the Dardenne directed movie, "It is another great performance from Marion Cotillard, who does not look out of place, like a starry A-lister, in the more austere Dardenne habitat. She is restrained and dignified, and again Cotillard shows what a marvellous technical actor she is: every nuance and detail is readably present on her face. She is compelling and moving - and so is the film."

At a press conference on Tuesday May 20 in Cannes, France for "Two Days, One Night," the 38-year-old 'Midnight in Paris' actress was asked about roles she would like to do but has not yet had a chance to play.

"I've always had a fascination with playing a man. Because it appears impossible to me, it excites me. So there you go," Cotillard said.

Cotillard added that she liked seeing Cate Blanchett play Bob Dylan in a movie: "I'm not sure what kind of man I would play. Women have taken the male roles on stage in Shakespeare."

"The idea of gender bending for a part is something that has been on my mind for some time," Cotillard explained to the Daily Mail.

Marion Cotillard can be seen next in 'The Immigrant' with Joaquin Phoenix, in which she plays Ewa, a woman who is lured into prostitution.

Cotillard recently spoke with The Daily Beast about Ewa, saying, "She prostitutes herself even though she knows it's against her religion, which is very judgmental about it. She does it because she will do anything for her sister."

She added, "She experiences such horrors, but she's full of light and hope; she's pure. She fights for her sister and she's a beautiful woman, so it was not hard to live with her even though she goes through a lot."
