Taylor Swift's 2014 net worth is reportedly nine figures, a mind blowing $200 million at just age 24, according to OK Magazine. However, the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer is being sued by the Orange County-based apparel company Lucky 13.
Taylor Swift's $200 million net worth is the cumulination of multiple revenues. Swift has released four major studio albums so far. Her second album, Fearless, was the best-selling album of 2009. Both her third and fourth albums sold over a million copies in their first week, according to OK Magazine. She is also the number one digital singles artist of all time, with 75 million downloads.
Swift's touring has also made her a lot of money. Her Fearless tour grossed $63 million. The Speak Now tour brought in $123 million and the Red tour brought in another $133 million.
Forbes estimated that Taylor had an income of $55 million last year and $53 million in 2012. This puts Taylor Swift's net worth around $200 million.
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer is being sued by Californian clothing brand Lucky 13. Lucky 13 is accusing Swift of trademark infringement due to her use of the No. 13, her lucky number, in various capacities, including t-shirts. According to the lawsuit by Lucky 13, which was filed Tuesday morning, Swift had practiced unauthorized use of Lucky 13's federally registered trademarks.
Swift told MTV back in 2009 about why 13 is her lucky number, saying, "The significance of the number 13 on my hand ... I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number - for a lot of reasons. It's really weird."
Swift explained, "I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter."
Lucky 13, which was founded in 1991 and makes streetwear, claims that they have contacted Swift's camp numerous times with no resolution.
