The surging Indians are hoping to stay hot after snapping the Red Sox's winning streak.

Cleveland goes for a season-best fifth consecutive victory as these teams continue their three-game set at Progressive Field on Tuesday night.

After opening a six-game homestand with a three-game sweep of Colorado, the Indians (28-30) held on to beat Boston 3-2 on Monday.

The Red Sox had followed a 10-game losing streak with seven straight victories before coming up short.

The Red Sox now turn to Jake Peavy (1-2, 4.50 ERA), who went 0-2 with a 5.89 ERA in six starts last month. The right-hander surrendered three runs and eight hits over a season-high eight innings in Thursday's 4-3 walkoff win over Atlanta.

Peavy is 4-0 with a 2.89 ERA over his last five starts against the Indians

Boston's Grady Sizemore, meanwhile, is hitting .196 with no homers and just one RBI in his last 14. The former Indians star went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts in his first game back in Cleveland.

"It's a little weird, but exciting," Sizemore said. "I'm happy to be back. There's a lot of good memories here. ... It still feels like home. I started here. It's kind of still a piece of me. It feels weird being back and being on the other side."
