Iggy Azalea Starts Feud With Lorde? ‘Fancy’ Rapper Called ‘Racist’

Iggy Azalea may have begun a feud with 17-year-old "Royal" singer, Lorde.

In a cover story with Billboard Magazine, the "Fancy" rapper shared her thoughts on the decision to include Lorde in the Kurt Cobain tribute back in April, according to Entertainmentwise.

"Nothing against her, but I think when you're doing a tribute to someone that's dead, generally it should be the person's peer," Iggy stated in her interview.

The "Rolex" singer added, "Lorde is not Kurt Cobain's peer. No matter if she killed the performance or not, I just don't think it's appropriate."

Lorde performed with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, as well as Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and St. Vincent.

Iggy Azalea has been dealing with her fair share of criticism as well lately.

The "New Classic" hitmaker was reportedly called a racist after a couple bold tweets she made recently, according to The Syndey Morning Herald.

She recently tweeted, "just saw 5 black men arrested out the front of popeyes." A twitter user commented on the post, writing, "@jennapossibly iggy azalea was cute 2 till she opened her mouth nd out poured racist+homophobic things lmao (sic)."

Azalea was reportedly labeled a "racist" on Twitter when she had tweeted, "is it wrong I feel happy to hear southern accents again & not Mexican ones? F*** it. Iam (sic)."

A fellow Twitter user commented, "Wow. 'furz things furz I'm the realist' no, @IGGYAZALEA, you're fake racist dumbie who needs some cultural education."

Whether Iggy Azalea can be called a true feminist or not has been questioned as well.

"While there may be an empowered feminist sentiment behind Iggy's music, and while she may have overcome all odds to become the first international female artist nominated as an XXL Freshman, the nature of her overtly sexual music videos perpetuates a pattern of sexist typecasting in today's misogynistic rap game, whether she intends them or not," stated a write on the Cypher League website.
