Calvin Harris and Rita Ora have officially split.
"To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago," the 30-year-old DJ wrote on his Twitter account on Friday, according to the NY Daily News.
He added, "She is a beautiful, talented woman (and) I wish her all the best."
Although the break up has come as a surprise, there had reportedly been signs along the way.
Rita Ora had expressed how difficult it is to make a long distance relationship work during an interview with The Mirror.
"You have to fly each other out, you just have to. Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It's an effort, but you make it work," stated the 23-year-old singer.
The "How We Do" singer added, "I'm not a big fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with that you've got."
The couple first began dating in May 2013, but had to spend some time apart in the past year because of their conflicting work schedules.
There is speculation that there may have been more to the split. Sources have reportedly told TMZ that Justin Bieber may have been in the center of the couple's break up.
Bieber and Ora were reportedly seen getting "touchy feely" with each other while they were in the recording studio together over the past couple months.
The two were also seen in Mexico together for the last few days, according to the gossip website.
Harris reportedly produced a few songs for Ora, but will no longer allow their release, suggesting that the break up may have been uglier than it seems.
