Comedian Tracy Morgan was involved in a car accident at about 1a.m. on Saturday when the limo bus he was in was struck by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to CNN.

After the car accident, false rumors had reportedly been circulating that the "30 Rock" actor's leg will have to be amputated.

"Rumors about his leg are completely fabricated," Tracy Morgan's rep tells TMZ.

The rep added, "This recovery will be arduous and we hope that you can be patient during this difficult time."

The truck diver that was responsible for killing a man and injuring the passengers inside the limo bus was reportedly awake for more than 24 consecutive hours before the incident, a criminal complaint filed in the case reports.

35-year-old Kevin Roper is charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in the crash. Roper was a driver for Walmart.

"This is a tragedy, and we are profoundly sorry that one of our trucks was involved," Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., said in a statement.

Simon added, "The facts are continuing to unfold. If it's determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility."

A Walmart spokeswoman, Brooke Buchanan, issued a news release stating, "With regards to news reports that suggest Mr. Roper was working for 24 hours, it is our belief that Mr. Roper was operating within the federal hours of service regulations."

Comedian James McNair, who performed under the name Jimmy Mack, was killed in the car accident. McNair's sister, Valerie Daniel, reportedly stated that he would be buried in a private ceremony on Thursday in Peekskill, New York.

Morgan suffered injuries including broken ribs, a broke nose, a broken leg and a broke femur.

"We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks," his publicist Lewis Kay said.
