ABC Family renews its highest-rated series "Pretty Little Liars" prior to the season 5 premiere. This means TV series fans will surely have more days to uncover mysteries with their favorite four girls of fictional town Rosewood, Pennsylvania. So, "A" has two more years, or even more than two, to continue sending messages to Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spender Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell).

Pretty Little Liars season 6 will premier in mid-2015, while season 7 will begin in mid-2016. ABC Family hasn't yet released the number of episodes for the two seasons, but season 5 will have its first Christmas episode.

ABC Family has reasons to extend the American teen mystery-thriller TV series. To date, Pretty Little Liars is still the highest-rated TV series of ABC Family with total viewers of 3.8 million, with average of 1.5 million viewers aged 18-39. It is currently second series of the TV channel that has reached to nearly 100 episodes behind "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". The TV show also created around 675,000 buzz per episode last year on Twitter alone.

When asked if season 7 will be the final for the TV series during the interview by The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Marlene King didn't give straight answer but said, "It's very important for me that this show ends when it should end and not go on beyond. I don't want to beat a dead horse. I don't want to linger. We've got a story we know we want to tell. When it feels like we don't want to tell that story anymore, it's time for it to end."

For the meantime, PLL fans have to enjoy the 5th season especially the new elements added in the show and Alison's resurrection. They also have to find out why the 5th is the most emotionally complex among Pretty Little Liars seasons.
