Piracy is one of the biggest problems faced by game manufacturers. Regardless of what game it is or what console it is on, hackers have always come through to crack them. This is why Microsoft is maximizing the security features of the Xbox One to protect it from piracy.

Back in the Xbox 360, everything was thought to be well-secured but the JTAG was the biggest loophole on the system. With the new DRM policies being practiced on the Xbox One, the JTAG issues are believed to be resolved.

However, the security improvement took its toll on the console's sales. To make things worse, the hackers are so good that reports are confirming that they have already grab hold of the Xbox One's NAND data.

The 4.95GB file can now be dumped using Corona V2 with an SD Card Reader. The nightmare is repeating itself for Microsoft as the methods applied by the hacker is identical to how it was done on the Xbox 360.

The moment the NAND gets taken away, other hackers can take over to complete the cracking process. Of course, things are slightly more difficult on the Xbox One as the crystal quartz needs to be disabled first.

Nevertheless, this is some major progress made by the hacking community. With every passing day, the Xbox One gets more vulnerable and soon, it will be overrun by pirates. This is unless Microsoft has a plan B.
