Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon teases fans of more characters in Mortal Kombat X soon.
According to reports from GAMENGUIDE, Ed Boon stated that several old Mortal Kombat characters will likely make an appearance in Mortal Kombat. Fan favorites Sub-Zero and Scorpion were the first two classic MK characters to be featured in the game along with newcomers D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, Cassie Cage and Kotal Kahn.
Ed Boon teased fans that they might also see "Nightmare on Elm Street's" own Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat X. Freddy Krueger was one of the guest characters in the previous Mortal Kombat game along with Kratos of the God of War game franchise.
"Friday the 13th," and its hockey masked Jason Vorhees. With the date just passing, fans were curious about the possibility of Crystal Lake's worst breast stroker featuring in the next MK title. "More likely than a DC Hero."
While Ed Boon is still considering the concept of adding Freddy into the mix, the thought could is still a possibility. Speaking of possibility, GAMENGUIDE implied that Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios may consider adding Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th in the game.
Although, the website claims it won't happen due to the fact that Warner Bros. relinquished its rights to New Line Cinemas as Paramount Pictures started working on the next Friday the 13th movie.
Meanwhile, an alleged Mortal Kombat fan page placed a poll on which of the old MK characters should join the roster of Mortal Kombat X.
These characters are Raiden, Shang Tsung, Tanya, Shinnok, Frost, Ashrah, Fujin, Mileena, and Zombie Liu Kang.
Mortal Kombat is still under development by NetherRealm Studios as we will likely see more gameplay features and new characters very soon.
