Destiny is an upcoming action role-playing first-person shooter video game in a"mythic science fiction" open world setting. It is developed by Bungie and published by Activision as part of a ten-year publishing deal.
Since the announcement of the highly anticipated first person shooter, fans first thought that the game will be a PS4 exclusive as it was seen being played on the PlayStation 4 last E3. Destiny fans who are planning to purchase the game on the Xbox One are wondering how the game will perform on the Xbox One. In the past there have been games that run at 1080p and 30fps on the PlayStation 4 and those games then run at 900p and 30fps on the Xbox One.
GamingBolt got in touch with Bungie's Senior Enviroment Artist, Jason Sussman, and asked him just what the Xbox One fans are worried about. GamingBolt asked Sussman whether or not Destiny on the Xbox One will be "Dumbed down" to which Sussman replied by saying, "We are working really hard so that the best experience and the quality of the game we are trying to deliver is equal across all platforms, as much as we possibly can,"
GamingBolt also asked Sussman if they came across any issues while developing on the Xbox One specifically the eSRAM? Sussman replied that "Each console has their own specifications along with their tweaks. Every time you are working on cross platform [game], there are little differences between each console and we are making sure that the game looks great across all of them, and it does, it really looks good. I think we have succeeded."
Sussman ended by saying, "We did not had any problems across any of the platforms," This will put Xbox One fans' minds to rest as they no longer have to worry about the lower quality visuals.
Destiny is set to come out on the 9th of September and it will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
