New Final Fantasy characters are going to be added to the Kingdom Hearts 3 characters list if the reports are to be believed.
According to reports from savecontinue.com, four Final Fantasy characters are rumored to join the game and these are Tidus and Wakka of Final Fantasy X, Selphie Tilmitt of Final Fantasy VIII and the Warrior of Light in the first Final Fantasy game.

These characters were named during a forum discussion from bloggers regarding which FF characters are going to appear on Kingdom Hearts 3.
It was mentioned before that Lightning, Balthier, Fran, Zidane, Terra and Noctis are the likely candidates, while others wanted to see the grown up versions of Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. These three characters originally appeared in the first game as childhood friends of Sora, Kairi, and Riku in Destiny Island.
As for Warrior of Light, they requested that KH3 producer Shinji Hashimoto would include him in the game as a "Secret Boss" character for Sora and the others to fight.
Meanwhile, a new keyblade level-up system will be featured in the game.
Gameranx reports that Sora will have the ability to upgrade his keyblade's stats and change it to a variety of weapons such as a gun, shield, sword and many more.
